Initial Overview:
Single mother of two is starting her life over in a house haunted by two ghosts: Mary, who has nearly forgotten who she was, and a poltergeist. Mary has been appearing to the eldest daughter, frightening her, but never hurting her. The poltergeist attacks outsiders first, then traps the youngest in the fridge. Missouri is introduced.
Sam owns up to having visions. Takes a family potential he never knew to be honest & begin his journey to reconnect with John. Meanwhile, Dean is abandonded, again.
Sam being psychic freaks Dean out -- worried something is Wrong with him
Dean has not been back to Lawrence since John left. Is afraid of it.
Sam connects with kid who has been seeing Mary's ghost.
Sam didn't know Dean was charged to carry him out of the house.
Dean calls John for guidance. No-one replies, only the voice telling him to look to himself. Nearly cries asking for help, practically begging
What was John like before the fire? Stubborn, competitive, doting. Got "worse and worse"
"All this happening at once... it feels like something is starting"
The house, the family has been "walked" by evil, leaving wounds that attract spirits like sharks.
Mary's ghost is a protector whose identity and purpose faded over time. She awakens to defend her children, thereby enforcing the family structure as it continues to center around Sam's outcast status & his struggle to reach the light.
Dean is an obedient little dog. Bark for me boy
Sam is trapped inside the house Dean freaks out trying to save him from the fire once again (third time that we know about)
Mary apologizes to Sam. Dean gets 1 inch away from crying but doesn't because he's a Man.
Sam is afraid of himself.
John is a voyeuristic piece of shit and I hate him so much. They are directionless and fragmented without him. He is the maker and the tools, the recipe & the ingredients. They are incomplete without his direction... for now.
