Hook Man
Initial Overview:
Rebellious preacher's daughter falls victim to Sins of the Father ghost. Misguided attempt at protection.
Notes:
"Dad would" is a prime motivator & directive -- world revolves around John
Dean is really on a calling Sam gay kick. Pursues a freshly 18yo at the ripe age of 27. Creep ♥
SamDean interrupt church service
Lori, preacher's daughter, people around her that "cause her to sin" die violent deaths
Ghost of a preacher who, yep, you guessed it, tortured and kille 92 prostitutes in the name of God
Dean invented rock salt shotgun shells
Altercation with cops #3? #4?
Lori's roommate is a sinner trying to get Lori to underage drink
Dean goes to a house party and says "this is awesome"
Reverend "saving" his daughter from sin. Sam believes it's unconscious, Dean is doubtful
Lori & Sam
- Rebelled against fathers, both resentful of their attempts to control them. Debate about meaningfulness of patriarchal action, fathers are hypocrites? Lori's is.
- Both believe their loved one's deaths are their fault. Again Lori is granted absolution, this time because she is unaware of her thoughts (these being the true directives to the ghost, not her father, but certainly influenced by him). Sam continues to deny himself the same.
Lori's father is attacked by the ghost just after he invites Lori back inside.
Sam takes the house, Dean takes the church
Lori's guilt over the actions her emotions have caused leads to the punishment she involuntarily inflicted back on herself
Dean watches Sam talk to Lori and isn't jealous at all
