Initial Overview:

Shapeshifter takes the place of a husband and tortures and kills their wives while using the husband's face.

Notes:

Dean separates Sam from his last connections to Stanford. Incredibly posessive & almost overbearing. First time Sam has to persuade Dean to take a case

Shapeshifter. The longer it is you the more it knows. Loves to torture women for no reason

Sewer--beneath/below--gross, wet & dank, moldy, neaty, traversable, inhospitable, transport, forgotten, buried, washed away

Dean interjects to declare Sam should cut off his friends because they'll never know the real him

Sam walks through the streets openly, Dean takes the alleys & gets shifted

"You know me!" gives Sam pause

Dean is resentful of Sam's escape, believes everyone will leave him → human but born different until they learn to become something else, lonely in his "freakishness"

Dean is hunted by the cops again for being different. Goes into the sewers alone

Cain and Abel mention. Dean has "a lot of good qualities." Dean tops in this one

Dean kills himself and calls it cathartic

"Hunting must be lonely." "Oh, it's not so bad. I mean, it's my family."

Sam admits he would rather stay with Dean than go back to college because he "never really fit in." Does not question what the shapeshifter tells him as Dean to Dean, agrees when Dean says he'll always have his back.
