Devil's Trap

Back

Initial Overview:

John is posessed by Azazel.

Notes:

Dean doesn't give reasoning like John. Beginning to get angry with God. "Screw the job!" Reversal of roles. Dean is blinded by the fear of losing John again, feels the need to rescue him instead of finishing the job. "Everything stops until we find him."

Bobby is here now. Dean doesn't think thrice about rinning to him. Needs help, guidance. Prophet.

SamDean must confront the fact that they killed Real Meg. Trap her. They are walking bait. Dean is controlled by his emotions (and they make him beat women. Woowww). Dean does not believe that John is dead, Sam immediately assumes the worst. Dean threatens to go to hell to hunt demons. Denial is delusional. Sam wants to find the demon more than he wants to find John. Continues exorcism to "put [Meg] out of her misery," portrayed as cruel decision.

Unposessed Meg thanks the boys for letting her die in peace. They try to save her kind of but mostly ask her for information. Begging for meaning from a dead woman.

Jensen loves to meaningfully glance at people. Stop doing that freak

Sam arguing in favor of John. Revenge over family. Dean, desperate wife, cannot fill the role of mother. Sam rebellious son begging for a new part to play. Crushed and catalyzed into ugly gems, unwanted, reactionary, combined.

Posting as firefighters to walk into trap. "Good boys."

Dean uses the Colt, which he wasn't supposed to have on a demon attacking Sam. Saves Sam's life. Cant keep his hands off his family. Freak. Feels bad about killing a person for all of two seconds but decides it was worth it to save his family. Afraid of this change within himself. Doesn't like what he's willing to do to save the Family.

John is not proud. Dean knows it's Azazel because John isn't mad at him for using a bullet. Azazel John calls him son. Says he's proud. Let's all kill ourselves.

Sammy has to choose between God and Dean. Chooses Dean.

Azazel enjoys the psychological torture. What are Dean & God gonna do? Demon has family. Justice or revenge?

It's all about Sam. My poor sacrificial lamb ♥ Dean is not the son. He will never be the family. Begs John to save him.

Sam checks on Dean before John. Dean only cares about John, who begs Sam to kill him while Dean pleads with him not to. Loyalty to the Family impedes revenge. Family is not God.
