Asylum
Initial Overview:
Ghost of guy who tortured mentally ill people for fun posesses people and amplifies their anger/other strong emotions and makes them hurt & kill their loved ones for their percieved slights. Sam goes to therapy. Motel room is deep red.
Notes:
Sam suggests John might be dead. Dean vehemently disagrees. John send them on a hunt shortly thereafter, which Dean is enthusiastic about: "If he wants us there it's good enough for me!" John's word is yet again prime directive.
Gimmick they use to get the cop to talk involves Sam attacking Dean, comes off as "too real"
(I don't know what this means. I can't read my handwriting) No graf = turn around! Dean compares Sam being psychic to being gay. Sam smacks his ass in reply
Sam: "It doesn't matter what he wants!"
- Sam calls looking for John familial. Dean says family is following orders.
Lying comes naturally to Sam. Honesty is a bargianing chip ← manipulation
Initial ghost is crying for help but does not know how to communicate without scaring or hurting people, just wants to be heard
SamDean split up. Sam finds an angry believer. Dean takes scared (former) skeptic.
Spirits are begging to be seen & heard
Scared skeptic comments that Dean seems like Sam's boss. Sam hates this implication.
Dean disappears. Sam gets a strange imitation call, lured to the basement for easy posession
Vent your anger & be cured? Nah. Get homicidal
Sam's posessed beef
- taking orders
- wants to be heard
- thinks Dean is pathetic for his unflinching loyalty
- freedom from opressive family structure tied to demonic or supernatural influence, crystalization
Admits to remembering but lies about sincerity
John calls. Good little soldiers
